Three Recommendations

All of which I’ll say more about later. But if you want to have a three-book streak to envy:

1. To Feel Stuff by Andrea Seigel.
2. Winter’s Bone by Daniel Woodrell.
3. Shriek by Jeff VanderMeer.

I’m already agonizing over what to read after I finish Shriek, so I’m trying to finish it slowwwly.

Now to walk the dog and write some new words.

  1. Might I suggest Dana Spiotta’s excellent novel, “Eat the Document” (one of my faves of the year) or, if you haven’t been tickled by the likes of Mark Z. Danielewski, “House of Leaves” (which seems quite fitting after VanderMeer).

  2. Have you read M.T. Anderson’s Octavian Nothing, etc etc? I just read Cheney’s ARC and it blew my fucking miiind. And it comes out on the 12th!
