That Little Sequel Question Answered (Newsy!) + Twitter Chat

After months of required cageyness I knew that this news would pop up soon, but not exactly when. But the when was yesterday, courtesy of the Publishers Weekly spring sneak previews:

YES, THERE IS A SEQUEL TO FALLOUT AND I HAVE WRITTEN IT AND IT IS CALLED DOUBLE DOWN! AND IT WILL BE OUT NEXT SPRING! AND I HOPE YOU ARE EXCITED!

*lowers voice* I hate secrets and I am SO EXCITED and can’t wait to be able to tell you more about DOUBLE DOWN. Which is currently in the editing process and heading swiftly toward the ARC phase (ack! they don’t tell you when you become an author nervous-making things never stop!) and hopefully a cover we can show you very soon. Along with more details about the book! Thanks to all of you and to the lovely publishers and people at Capstone/Switch Press and DC/WB for making this happen. FALLOUT has only been out a few months, so keep recommending it and spreading the word about the series and maybe there’ll be even more books to come. It’s such an honor for me to get to contribute to Lois’s legacy. Here’s a Tumblr post about the sequel news, if that’s your platform of choice.

I’ll be participating in a twitter chat hosted by YA Books Central this Thursday night about all things LOIS LANE and any other writing topics you want me to talk about.

The hashtag is #gwendabondchat — come join! I’ll also be at Gencon next week, but that schedule deserves its own post. Back soon with that.

And here are two recently released podcast interviews — I had a blast doing both of these:

  • With expert on all things geekish (and all things Superman) Alan Sizzler Kistler on his recently relaunched Crazy Sexy Geeks podcast (subscribe on iTunes or listen on Soundcloud);
  • With What the Fangirl on their podcast in a dual episode about Fallout and Kimmy Schmidt (how can you beat that? get it here)
