Am I the only person who didn’t know that Rob Thomas was a successful YA novelist before going into TV? That last week’s ep is named after his first book, "Rats Saw God"? I put it on reserve at the library. Anyway. This week:
"Nobody Puts Baby In A Corner" Veronica and Duncan discover that the still-comatose Meg had been babysitting an abused child, leading Veronica to take on an unfamiliar role as a babysitter to determine the kid’s identity.
The opening is great, so I’m really, really hoping this isn’t a very special episode as last week’s promo made out.
This show is getting ballsier. The last two episodes, in particular, have very pointedly not given us pat resolutions to *any* of the subplots/storylines that are winding through it.
Still not loving Duncan. But, loving Veronica with Duncan, which makes no sense. I have an amazing NSC on Logan. And how dare Rob Thomas give Sheriff Lamb dimensions! No fair!
Also ballsy: having three credited regulars never appear in an episode. I think this show is too good for UPN.

Also, I really really expected to hate this episode and Sheriff Lamb made it work for me. I thought it was pretty obvious who was going to be in the closet from last week’s preview, and behold it played out exactly as expected. Except I ended up liking it anyway.

Ditto what you guys said mostly. I still HATE Duncan though. And yes, I think that even if he and Kendall didn’t have sex, something happened in that room. I also really, really want to know what’s in that letter.
It seems like this episode did a great job of setting up a bunch of new questions, even while being almost totally focused on the case of the week. And I agree with Chance, that other than Duncan not pissing himself, it played out just as I expected but I liked it anyway. The Lamb reveal was excellent.
I have to think that next week will be huge, since they went so far out of the way to set it up in this one, even though very little actually happened in terms of Logan’s phony witness. (Does that guy look like he’s playing a doctor on TV or what?)

A big fat word on this. Before the season started I steeled myself against any attempts by the writers to make me like Dick Casablancas. I figured, if they could make me love Logan, anything is possible (although kudos for now turning around and reminding us how unpleasant Logan can be). I had just started letting my guard down and pow! Sympathy for Lamb. I feel dirty.
