Parasite. As the election and destruction of New York approach, Nathan meets up with Linderman. Hiro attempts to steal the sword heading him in a new path. Suresh and Sylar make progress with the list at great cost. D.L. begins to suspect problems at home. Isaac paints an even more terrible painting. A new hero, Candice Wilmer, appears. Simone isn’t dead yet.
Can’t we just leave this one of all the Dead Heroes Women dead? Please?
Just finished watching this through nefarious means. It’s nearly as good as last week’s episode. Amazing how this show gets good just as BSG falls to pieces for me.
I just watched last week’s episode this afternoon and was pleasantly surprised to discover it actually was as good as everybody had been saying it was. I’m looking forward to seeing tonight’s episode, and hopefully before next week.
I don’t dislike Simone, and I’m interested to see how she’s not actually dead, but I agree: if they were going to kill off any one character, I think I’d prefer it if it was her.
Regarding Simone: that is an interesting placement of the word “yet.”
Sorry, Gwenda. I’m hoping Candice bites it as quickly as possible (although poking at Isaac made me like her a little).
And thus, the bangs die. I imagine this is where the famous scar originates, too. I’m sort of assuming that, when we next rejoin Peter and Mohinder, Sylar will be going down – he’s simply not that prominent a villain anymore and has served out his usefulness to the story.
I’d like to crow over the fact that I guessed who the Haitian’s employer was, but really it was kind of obvious. Totally cool scene, though. If we can’t get Claire in the same room with Peter or Nathan, Mrs. Petrelli is the next best thing.
I know I said that last week’s episode didn’t make me like Bennet any more than I already had, but this week broke me. When he told his wife that he hadn’t known he could talk to her about his life, I just about melted – for a man who’s done the kind of things he’s done, he’s shockingly innocent. And, of course, now he’s seriously screwed and I want him to be rescued immediately.
How could Bennet’s boss have deceived Matt about letting him go? Forget the telepathy, hasn’t Matt ever watched a movie?
Go ahead and crow, Abigail — I *loved* the Mrs. Petrelli scene, and the first thing I thought when I saw her was “Abigail called it!”
It’s time for Sylar to be gone. Much more interesting to see the destructive potential of people who are not so purely eeeevil.
I have to say, when Linderman turned around and he was Malcolm McDowell, I was a little disappointed. He’ll be good, but MM is pretty much the obvious go-to guy for this kind of role, right? I really was hoping for Puppet Angel.
And I love that amidst all the death and destruction, the final dramatic image we’re left with is… dum dum DUM… Peter Gets A Haircut.
I know, Karen! I loved that too. The actor has complained about the bangs so much; hopefully this means they’ll be gone.
And that Sylar will be gone.
I am very glad they seem to be noticing how heavy-handed the portrayals of the women have been and doing a correction. The last two eps have been the most enjoyable of the season for me and I think that’s why.
I agree with a slight disappointment on the Linderman pay off, but only slight. And, honestly, I’m not sure how they could have played it that I’d have liked it more. In general, they’re doing a really good job enlarging the world and its players.
