I’ve been to Portland three or four times, and I like it better on every visit. I think I could be very happy living in Portland. McMinamens, Powells, the Trailblazers … Well, the pubs and bookstores are great, anyway. Plus much more besides.
If you have any chance at all, get out to the Kennedy School McMinamens. It’s pretty awesome.
I didn’t get a chance to poke around much, but will definitely be going back. I’m completely smitten with my fantasy of moving there at some point. Everyone’s so damn NICE. And they like living there so much. It’d be creepy if it wasn’t genuine.
